Too damn messy

Whenever we have seen the thing assimilate (like the dogs or Bennings) there is such a mess of blood and green liquid...god knows what else, not to mention the noise I find it hard to believe that it could do this on the sly. Did the imitation go to the wash room and get a mop and bucket ever time?
