Why the Third Doc (spoilers)...

I just watched this after a few decades, and I still love it!! But, I understand why John Kirby killed first Doc (he heard him say that he would be better off dead, and he was a vegetable), and the second Doc, who injected John with Sulfuric Acid. Any thoughts as to why John killed the third Doctor? He even gave John a warm embrace, by touching his head, and never said anything negative about him.

I always thought it was to show how truly monstrous John Kirby had become. If he would his kill his "father" who created him and protected him, he would do anything or kill anyone. Made him even more of a scary villain after that.

By then John's mind had progressed to the point where he was pure murderous instinct. There was no friendly father figure in his view just prey.
