Scary/horror movie favorites

When I was watching this movie first time in 1982 as 17 years old...then it was scary and the effects very real for that time :) I got several nightmares through the years. But the sequels was not like the original. I also was very scared with "Alien",but most scaring is still "Jaws" in combination with a "Tarzan"-film in black and white about a octopus trying to drown Tarzan in in a grotto. I still have a definite fear of dark waters.

So don't bother answer if you are not born in the 70-ties or later...You will not have the same view on things...
