Sound delay on HBO-MAX version?

I was watching this recently and tried three different times but the sound seems delayed. It's not dubbed so I have subtitles but it was annoying seeing their mouths move after they started talking. It seems to self-correct about 30 minutes in but then there are little moments where it's off again.

YOU MAY BE THE FIRST ONE TO WATCH IT.🙂

I just watched this on HBOMAX for the first time and it's just subtitles only now and they're well synced.

I gotta be honest, I think this movie is a little overrated. While it is well directed, and well shot, I just didn't relate that much to the characters. In fact, I would be willing to say that none of the characters are likable. Not that this really matters that much because movies don't actually need likeable people to be good but you would think Bergman would have thrown in a few that were noteworthy but nope, it's just a mesh of odd-ball characters.

Apparently there is a longer version but HBO has the 3+ hour version. Perhaps the 5hr version is better. I don't know, but I'll give it a 6.5 out of 10, it's a solid film with some very good performances. This is my second Bergman film (other one is Through A Glass Darkly or whatever its called) and so far, he's not wowing me but I can recognize that he was a skilled director even though I do question his storytelling abilities to some degree.

Next on my list is Wild Strawberries. We'll see how that pans out...
