Wouldn't that have been a little controversial in the early 80's? Especially on a sitcom set in the 50's? I was just a little kid when this came out so I remember it, but don't remember watching it.

They weren't living together Chachi lived with his mom and Al and Joannie lived in an apt her parents paid for. They made it quite clear they weren't even sleeping together.
