who played stevens father jacob?

i just watched the episode where he goes back home and they show his father in flashbacks.IMDb doesn't give a listing for him.

Not sure who played him in the flashbacks. But in the season 1 episode where he came to the Keaton home for a visit, he was played by John Randolph, who later played Clark's father in Christmas Vacation.

yes, i remember that. he also played Roseannes father. she would later make him out to be a terrible father. (so much like a Roseanne thing to do)

He was also George Costanza's original father. Did he start a firm called Rent-a-Dad or something?

That was one of my favorite episodes. It was called 'Remembrance of Things Past.' As someone else mentioned his name was Michael Alldredge.
