Lee Grant's operation

In the movie of Visiting hours Lee Grant goes in the O R where her attacker
stands right next to her . I like her surical hat that Deborah Ballin were in
this surgical scene. It's too bad the rest of the surgical scene was not edited
due to it being too graphic for the moovie goers to see in theaters!

surgical scene being edited? what do you mean?

Also, I didn't understand why Ironside was next to her while she going under, he didn't harm her then. What was the point?

He also never really showed up during visiting hours. And was he working at the station as a floor cleaner too? How could he get into so many places and work there, no questions asked?

reply

I guess you would label that as suspension of disbelief for the sake of the film

reply

Yeah I just watched this on Netflix last night after so many years of not seeing it..

The operation room scene didn't make any sense. I assume he killed the doctor that yelled at him to get out of there.. I too wondered why he didn't harm her then. But then I thought, maybe, just maybe he had something to do with her infection that Shatner brings up later in the film.

It's funny how things you like that scared you as a kid lose their impact as an adult in 2012..Most of this movie is just Ironside wandering around back and forth to the hospital in various disguises. It was like he was thinking "well I wasn't able to kill her today. eh, there's always tomorrow. which outfit should I wear?"

Yes, this is one part I find a bit confusing. Was he really there, or was it just Ballin's woozy mind playing tricks and only thinking she was hearing the bell on his gold chain.

Unless he was an experienced surgical staff member and knew what he was doing in the operation room, how did he not get found out and noticed by the other doctors? They would still be able to tell it wasn't the doctor in the changing room. Nothing was mentioned about the other doctor either that told Colt to get out. 

Don't eat the whole ones! Those are for the guests. 🍪

It also makes no sense why she'd need a second operation (days after being wheeled into the hospital to treat the wounds from the initial knife attack).

her attacker is not in the surgical room,
we hear the chime of his necklace...but at the end of this scene it shows a close-up of a dogtag that is actually making the sound, hanging on a table in the room
