Billionaire Actors Love Communism... Go Figure!

THERE ARE NO WARREN BEATTYS, DIANE KEATONS, OR JACK NICHOLSONS IN ANY COMMUNIST COUNTRY

NEVER WERE AND NEVER WILL BE

"ARTISTS" LOVE THE NOTION OF EVERYONE BEING EQUAL

AS THEY SIT IN THEIR BILLION DOLLAR PERCHES, FAR ABOVE US

HAVING WAY MORE THAN ANY OF US, AS THEY TEACH US ABOUT

EQUALITY

reply

Gee, a little jealous and ignorant about the artistic community out there, wherever the hell you're from? By the way, from your position of anger about those who "sit...far above us, having way more than any of us..." sure sounds like an argument that the communists would have made as to the equality of the community.
What a joke. Love the angry 'hate artists, hate liberals, hate intellect' comments this film inspires. Makes me thing that Beatty was really doing the right thing.

reply

I couldn't agree with the original poster more. And if you've ever noticed, the most left wing Commie sympathizing actors in Hollywood are also the most likely to hold out for more money and a fatter contract. To them (and to a lot of left wing extremist politicians like Pelosi, Kennedy, Obama, etc.) Communism is terrific, provided they don't have to live by the same rules as the common man.

reply

First, just because actors appear in a movie about Communism doesn't mean they are Communists or even have sympathy for Communism. What, do you honestly think Jack Nicholson is a Communist?

Second, who exactly are these "Commie sympathizing actors" who also "hold out for more money and a fatter contract"? Some names please?

Third, are you actually saying that Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, and Barrack Obama think "Communism is terrific"? Or is it simply that you consider all "left wing extremist politicians" to be Communists?

You're painting with an awefully broad brush there. Your last name isn't McCarthy, is it?

"Push the button, Max!"

Yes, and god exists too, and his son has come to set us all free, and that is why everyone on planet earth lives in paradise...

In the world of science, theories are rejected and abandoned on the basis of empirical evidence. In the world of ideology however, if empirical evidence contradicts the theory, the theory is kept and the evidence neglected.

Communism does not work, period. I should say that there is *ample* evidence for that. If you could only open your eyes.

You poor soul. I'm sure you're happy with the job Bush has done too. Please, for God's sake, read a book, enjoy some art, hug a child, do something that might enlighten you.
"What's the rumpus?"

reply

Anyone can be inspired by the rhetoric and promises of political ideology of Socialism , Nationalism, Anarchy, Fascism etc. you name it.

Also as the witnesses stated its easier to feel inspired to help and change the world when you have little personal problems (eg. financial.) of your own.

Happy to share the wealth - like good communists - and bail everyone else out too.

Nowhere in Reds is there any suggestion that Warren Beatty or Diane Keaton, or any other person involved in the making of the film, loves Communism.

I don't think that I've heard Mr. Beatty or Ms. Keaton express their political positions in an entertainment forum. I wish more actors were like them. I do think that I recall Mr. Beatty express left wing views in interviews, but I would not want to swear to it.

I think during the reign of 'The Governator', Beatty gave a commencement speech to college grads about the wonders of Socialism.

Why can't you wretched prey creatures understand that the Universe doesn't owe you anything!?

reply

That works for me. I would not invite him to speak at a commencement ceremony that I planned and I would not care to sit and listen to him. I would rather have someone who succeeded more on talents that we need more than acting. But, that is up to the school. Just keep it away from the movie awards ceremonies.

I'm sure he wasn't recommending the Communism or Socialism of the systems in place in China, the Soviet Union, etc.

reply

Of course not! He was recommending Socialism run by clever guys like himself in charge-or maybe Hugo Chavez.

reply

You must be thinking of a movie other than Reds - there is nothing in the movie recommending "Socialism," if you mean the "Socialism" used in the propaganda of various governments today to justify their grip on power.

A movie? No no pal, I'm talking 'bout Beatty bloviating on stage during a commencement speech for some college-or was it a high school?

reply

I doubt Beatty was recommending the type of government they have in the People's Republic of China or North Korea.
