That whole ending really made no sense at all (as if the rest did, I guess), but it wasn't funny either and ruined the movie, imo.

The will of the 'victim', decisions, plans, strength, spiritual abilities, faith and so on?
It's not like you automatically and immediately become possessed from mere EXPOSURE to a demon. Demons aren't all-powerful, and people aren't without power, either. Furthermore, our Cosmic Father IS All-Powerful. If it's not your karma to be possessed by a demon, then there's nothing any demon can do to possess you!

If a demon tries to possess you, but you are strong in faith and will, and know what to do or even have enough determination, the demon is not going to succeed. If your aura is healthy and strong, and you have faith and know how to pray, there's no way a demon is going to be able to possess you, no matter how strong it otherwise it.
Have some faith in the forces of good, the Creator of the Universe, and the Messenger that sacrificed so much of pain and his own time he could've been spending in higher realms, just so we could get the memo!
