How long were those hallways?

When Laurie starts banging on the door to escape The Shape, it takes the marshall a good 45 seconds (yes, I timed it) to make his way to where they were. I know the guy wasn't a track star, but damn! I suppose I could ask the same question about why it took Loomis so long to let her in, since it looked like they were right by the door in the previous shot.

I didn't think Loomis, his assistant or the Marshal were anywhere near the door. It's very possible they didn't hear Laurie scream and her screams became louder the closer the Shape got to her. I think perhaps Laurie should have bolted and ran somewhere else.

It looked like the marshal was in the exact same spot the 2nd time they showed him moving.
