OK...this one always got me. Ginny (Amy Steel) sees dead bodies of couselors-to-be, and her boyfriend gets killed...and Jason has been chasing her trying to kill her for about 10-15 minutes when she hides under the bed.
Oh, yes...a deranged, hooded killer is chasing her after killing others!
A mouse walks by her, causing her to pee her pants.
Guess the mouse was scarier than Jason.

I always thought that it was the fact Jason was in the room that caused her to pee her pants. What's funny is that after that her pants seem to be dry.

It was clearly the rat's pee. If Ginny went the bathroom it wouldn't puddle like it did.
shareI wanted to ask about this scene because of the confusion I have for it. I just wondered if it was her pissing her pants and why exactly. I thought it was from fear Jason would find her and the mouse wasn't helping her stay hidden very much, it'd be easier for Jason to find her if a mouse is giving away her location.
And I did notice her pants being dry after she got back up which makes it look like it wasn't her pissing to begin with. Maybe they thought the audience would think it looked strange, but it ends up looking confusing. Like I said, I think it's just the fear of being found and killed knowing everyone is dead that got the best of her.
Or, who knows? Maybe it was just rat piss?
I doubt it was the mouse pissing. More volume of pee than a mouse could produce (there's something I never thought I'd type). It could've been the fear of the mouse on top of being chased by Jason, but I don't think it was fear of the mouse giving away her location...I mean, the mouse isn't tugging on Jason's pant leg and pointing at her. As for the dry pants...well, this isn't exactly a big budget, Hitchcock quality production...continuity errors will occur.

You are correct, she feared the mouse moving next to her would cause Jason to look in her direction, which is what scared her.

But what I didn't understand. The was a hell of a lot of pee! And she was wearing jeans - denim can soak up quite a bit.
I can tell you from experience a heavy night of drinking can cause you to go through just about any type of clothing. But - she looked to have more like a 3 to 4 beer night - who knows how much we'll all pee when chased by a potato head with a pitch fork

watching through scenes last night. I think it was GINNY! the Rat was up front when the wet scene came about then ran back down the other way.
The Rat and Jason literally scared the P**s out of Ginny.
It was Ginny. Like classics_guy pointed out, the mouse is still up by Ginny's head when the piss was coming out at the foot of the bed, on the other end.
