OMG I cried so hard !!!

I used to watch this movie when I was little and I saw it the other night and I couldn't help crying. I'm 17 and I rarely cry at a movie, but when the old lady left the fox in the forrest, it was so saddd. Anyone feel the same way ??

reply

I just watched it not even an hour ago and cried my eyes out, and I'm also 17. It's such a sad movie that I wonder how I didn't cry when I was a little kid!

I swear, that's one of the saddest movie scenes EVER (cartoon or non-cartoon!).

I thought that part when Widow Tweed gave up Tod was the saddest part of the movie too!

I saw this movie a couple of months ago, and I thought that part was so sad, I kept waiting for the woman to turn around and go and get him, but she didn't and I was crying too, and I'm 25.

I'm 24 and I always cry when I see this movie.

Hell, If I hear the title of the song at that part (Goodbye may seem forever) I start welling up...I'm 21 but I don't think it matters how old you are.

I remember when my mother left me in primary/kinderkarten school. It was the first time I had left her side after a long time. Hell, I don't remember reacting the same when she left me in nursery. I had some distinct memories then.

I just remembered very distinctly how I cried my heart out, but she would poke her head at the door with the glass panes and I would stop crying until she disappeared again.

Eventually I would stop crying when the teacher would hold me in her arms in a cuddle. But yep that's probably how I felt when I watched this scene. One of the worst things that could happen to a young child is when the only world they've ever known disappears from their grasp.

Also remembered the going into the girls loos when I had grown up a little and throwing toilet paper all over the place. Didn't know why that flashed back or why I recalled that. But hey, I did a lot of weird things when I was a kid. Like eating newspaper from the ground. Don't know why I would ever do that.

The poem told by Tweed (wonderful performance by Jeanette Nolan, it's hard to believe this is the same woman who scared me out in "Psycho" as the deceased Mrs Bates's voice with her creepy "she wouldn't harm a fly" speech at the end) is what really made cry because her delivery was spot-on. It just felt so real, so honest and heartfelt. I'm beginning to think voice actors should be considered for Oscars too...

That scene often makes me cry, but not always. It depends on how long it's been since the last time I saw it. It always touches my heart though.

reply

No, you're not alone. I always thought I was alone though. I'm almost 27 and I STILL cry EVERY time I see it. I think I managed to hold back my tears like once or twice since the first time I saw it (when I was 12).

reply

I cry every single time. I'm 20 and it still gets me every time!

Just THINKING about that scene makes me want to cry...

every time I see that part, I cry so hard! two years ago, I downloaded that song onto my iPod after my cat died, and whenever I listened to it, it brought back memories of all those good times my family had with our cat.

And I will get him back even as he gloats. In the meantime I'll practice on less honorable throats!
