Is Caitlin Clarke attractive

I know this probably is weird as Caitlin Clarke has sadly passed away, but I can honestly say that she was one of the most attractive women I have ever seen.

When I first watched Dragonslayer my thoughts were, this is a weird looking heroin and she has a very stange voice. Second time I watched it, I twigged and I thought she was amazingly attractive. Guess how sad I was to find out that she had no other major roles on film and her main legacy was on stage - from what I know you cant get plays on DVD.

From what ive read on the comments, few have made comments about Caitlin in Dragonslayer and some say they found her unattractive. I wanted to ask you people if you think it strange for a generally together 16 year old to be attracted to this obscure (undeservedly so) actress from a 25 year old film. Do you people think shes hot or not so to speak.

Yep. At 12 years old, I, at no time, bought she was a boy.

reply

Even when I saw it as a kid of about 10 I never bought it was a boy, but when you're watching a movie dealing with dragon's sorcerers, magic, and resurrection a great deal of suspension of disbelief is necessary. Still great performance though.

Friends,

Yes, she was beautiful... and always will be in our hearts. I swooned over her
girl-next-door gorgeousness, and her husky voice which made me quiver in silence,
even when she was berating Galen endlessly. And he, like I would have... took it
without flinching. 52 years old at the time of her death. 9/9, 2004, 5 days
after my 38th birthday. She had it all... even a certain kittenish-ness to her.
Porcelain skin, and rosy lips, raven-hair... and those eyes...
I have always said that I am an atheist and that there could be no god... but
looking at her... how else can you explain such exquisite perfection?

reply

Nicely put, godcharles.

I didn't know Caitlin of course, but for all these years I've been in love with Valerian and always will be. And for that I love Caitlin.

If she has died I can say I am opposed and saddened. I notice they tried to pretty her up for the romantic bits of this movie. She was not only very nice looking but able to act cute when called upon to do so.

reply

She was a very pretty girl. I had girl crush on her since I was a little kid. I was also surprised to later learn that she was almost 30 when she made this movie. She was able to pass for 18 or 19 in this movie!

reply

What about the voice though?

I thought she was putting it on to sound like a boy but when she became the girl she still had the boy's voice?

It sounded really strange when she was berating the King when the princess was chosen.

reply

Yeah, i fell in love, she looked very attractive woman in my opinion. A little bit boyface but thats better ;) Sad that she had to die... i found her first time today, and wishing i could see more this beauty.

Yes, she cleaned up very nicely with the dress & all. That was somewhat of a surprise to me after seeing her in the first part of the movie then seeing the "surprise".

She died!?!
Aw crap! I was smitten with her back then. When I watch the DVD now she's still a lovely woman!
Hell, some guys might be smitten with the whole medieval princess schtick, but if I had to have my medieval babe (lol) that would've been Caitlin.

No matter what you think of her face, she did have a pretty nice body in 1981.. if that's really her in the nude swimming scene. Me, I always thought she was cute myself.
