Anyone get scared of this when you were young?

I did.I watched it when I was young and was relieved at the end.What the HELL was that thing?

OMG, when I was a kid this film freaked me out!! It made me verrrry wary of walking across the sand at the beach for a long while.

I'd love to see this film again, as an adult. I'm sure it'll seem cheesy now.....but I still remember how well they did the "sucking down into the sand" special effects. And they were SCARY!!!

Omigod, I have that trailer seared into my memory!!! I'd love
to see it again, it's been over twenty years...that and the
"Scanners" trailer scared the crap out of me when I was a kid.

I have the trailers on various Roadshow Home Video releases from the early 1980's. I have many many old classic trailers in that way...I should make up a tape one day that has all the old adds on it.

This has been a memory that has been bugging me for years. Luckily, through some searching and asking, I finally found out what it was but I have a memory of it that may not be part of the film: its a P.O.V shot that is in red, Like its the/a killers memories or something, I cant remember excactly. Does anyone know if thats part of it?
Also where can you get it???

This movie scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. My mom really really loves horror films and she took me with her. I was in Kindergarten. I did not want to go to the beach for a long time. LOL!!!!

I just remember the rapist dude crawling on the beach and something grabs him by the dick and rips it off!
THAT scene really freaked me out, coz I was a teenager and was really 'attached' to my...'member' - and still am! LMAO! ;)
