Annoying characters

Still one of my favourite comedies of all time but just watched ' Little Problems' ,and was reminded how much I disliked the Driscoll brothers characters, just didn't get them. What characters do others dislike in the show?

And the posh antiques dealer after Del's painting

reply

Damien! but I didn't like Cassandra either.

"Funny, how?"

reply

John Bardon was great I thought - and it gave us the brilliant line "Dixon of Kuala Lumpar is involved..

Final three is all about the writing being generally poor and yes a Parody

nervous nerris

very sexy but very annoying! LOL

Jevron provided no humour

I never had a problem with the Driscoll brothers as such. In fact the line about "a shilling a day and a *beep* sandwich" never fails to makes me laugh out loud.

Slater. He's meant to be annoying, though

"Worthington, we're being attacked by giant bats!"

reply

Lisa in Tea For Three. The actress is so shrill you can barely make out what she's saying.

"Worthington, we're being attacked by giant bats!"

Damien gets the ultimate vote for me. I can perhaps see what they were aiming for by having him be a completely opposite to Del child but they could have done anything else other than "Ali G gangster wannabe". It felt outdated at the time and more so now. They should have just loosely kept up with the demon child parody idea but kept him to few words as a shyer kid, having Rodney slowly relate to him on account of seeing himself at that age under Del's feet.

Pauline Harris was a nasty and irritating piece of work but then again she was meant to be.

Jevon never really gelled with me. His smug ladies man vibe never seemed convincing but again maybe that was the point of it.

Jevon was fine as a background character in a handful of episodes, he didn't need to be the focus of any scene, he was just there to make up numbers in the pub/nightclub scenes and on the Jolly Boys Outing. Didn't find him annoying at all, he suited his purpose well to compliment Mickey and Rodney's exchange, and help give that series a bit of continuity in his appearances without being a major character.
