This film used color very well and contained reasonably decent acting. But the story is very hard to follow. The same people who liked this probably called "Suspiria" a masterpiece. Apparently I'm too dumb to "get it". Don't waste your time on this film.
shareThere's nothing to get, these movies aren't for everyone. If things like a surreal, dream-like vibe, beautiful music and imagery, great use of colors and spooky set design are enough to get you through a film, you'd enjoy this. But this is lacking an engaging story so it's not for everyone. It's a simple film, an evil witch resides in and controls an apartment complex and everyone who crosses her or gets too close to finding out is killed in sadistic and sometimes bizarre ways.
Can't blame you for not enjoying it, just not your cup of tea. But you also can't blame the rest of us for enjoying it.
Yep I gotta say something similar - I admire the saturated color palette and the enormous amount of work that must have gone into set-dressing and design.
But oh my god what a juvenile pile of tosh! The music was awful and silly, and the acting was stilted and wooden.

Hey, it's okay! Michael Bay is sure to make something soon again.
