I can tell you that a sequel is in the works for Hawk the Slayer, entitled 'HAWK THE HUNTER':

Terry Marcel, writer and director of legendary cult sword and sorcery movie 'Hawk the Slayer' is returning in 2009 to continue the adventures of Hawk, with a follow up entitled 'Hawk the Hunter'. Well, good luck to you all with it, hope it turns out but like I said, I won't count my chickens until it's released - I've waited too long for a follow up to this terrific film. So what's the plan? Anyone linked as actors yet?

Well this will be very exciting,I never thought I will see Crow back in action again. What a character Crow was. I'm surprised that no one tried to copy Crows abilities and take it further in the Lord of the Rings movies or Robin Hood movies.

With the special effects now, Crow will be awesome. He deserves his own movie.

I'm assuming Crow will make a return in Hawk the Hunter ? Is it too early for someone to confirm this ? I hope he will make an appearance in the new movie.

i CAN ONLY SAY THIS IS A JOKE!I am the biggest fan of Hawk the slayer.I even own the book the Laserdisc and 5 originals on VHS in the clamshell as well as 3 dvds.I can't find the soundtrack.I don't believe it for one reason..That web site is only a page some one made it is dead....7 months later?Why do people like to mess with others?

It's not a joke. Terry Marcel was to return to direct the sequel, but I think finance proved difficult, although Tom Hardy was attached for a time to play Hawk and it was rumoured John Terry would return, but as Voltan.

I hope it does go into production at some point in the future.

Someone is paying rent money on the web domain for the project, and that ain't no fansite, so i suggest that if the Sy Fy Channel can help fund the likes of Wrath Of The Dragon God then throwing money at Hawk The Slayer 2 is a no-brainer. Go for it, Terry!

Terry tried to make a sequel of sorts with Dark Knight on TV. It was disastrous and flopped.
Only a moron would try to make a sequel to Hawk..or want to.

It looks like it is back on. There's a Twitter account and a YouTube video announcement.

I know the original is cheesy and has not aged well at all but hopefully we'll be treated to a film with some awesomely quotable lines like the original. Hopefully CGI will be kept to a minimum and effectively used.
