The ending, beginning with the kiss and liaison on the floor, seemed very patched on. It just didn't seem to flow from the rest of the film.I'm guessing Truffault couldn't decide how to end it,vis a vis the three main characters, so left us to interpret for ourselves. What do you think?
shareThe DVD packaging said there was to be a love triangle so I went in expecting one. About 1.5 hours into the movie, I was wondering why that hadn't happened yet. I don't know if we're suppose to think the Deneuve and Depardieu characters just had a fling, but that's what it seemed like. There was no romantic build up between them.
