On AMERICA'S MOST WANTED???

I was falling asleep the other night with AMERICA'S MOST WANTED on my TV. They were doing a story about one of the guys who used to be in THE VILLAGE PEOPLE: The "sailor" (although he sometimes dressed up as The Cop). They said he had a drug problem while in the VILLAGE PEOPLE and got thrown out of the group. Nowadays he lives out of his car with a bunch of crack cocaine and a bunch of guns and so is considered dangerous.
Did anybody else see this AMERICA'S MOST WANTED???

I used to live near Haight and Fillmore in San Francisco and he was a regular fixture on the corner there. His daughter lived up the street. I talked to him a number of times, but he was very angry and antagonistic. Did you know he used to be married to the mom from the Cosby Show?

reply

I recall when THE COSBY SHOW was a huge hit reading in a tabloid a story about her and him taht sort of implyed they had a drug littered past.

Wow, he must kick himself now: He once had Phylicia Rashad and THE VILLAGE PEOPLE and now he has nothin'!

Victor Willis(whom you are referring to) was the cop and lead singer prior to Can't Stop The Music. After that Ray Simpson,a former back up singer for the group, took over and is with them to this day.

Hmm, let me see. Victor Willis was the lead singer for one of America's favorite pop rock groups and was married to "Mrs. Huxtable" from the Cosby Show.

And now got into drugs and threw it all away.

Sitting on top of the world and now has nothing. How did that come about?

reply

Oh wow! I guess he overcame his problems because I've never heard he has died after all of this time, but I do remember hearing about his drug problems.
