The judge lived in that town. I feel he knew his reputation of being fair would have been destroyed that route. Plus they were egotistical and wanted to school their ass.

That might be a reasonable explanation. But he was already known as a decent golfer. Same with Dr Beeper.

What I don't understand is that he was CHEATING, so he should've been disqualified, Rodney's team should've won a long time before they actually did.
