Still amazing....

The special effects, although dated, still hold up amazingly well and the combination of effects and images are still jaw dropping/awe inspiring. I lost count how many times I've seen this film. I can watch it over and over again and never get tired of it. And each time you watch, it makes more and more sense. Watching it only once can definitely leave a person confused and thinking the dialogue is a bunch of mumbo jumbo. I remember the very first time I watched it, I said that exact phrase, that all this scientific talk was mumbo jumbo. And then later in the film The Charles Haid character says the exact same thing and I laughed my ass off LOL. But if you have repeated viewings, all the mumbo jumbo begins to make sense. I really love this movie. One of William Hurt's best. His performance in this movie was amazing and it showed that he was going to be a force to be reckoned with. One of the best actors ever.
