Did anyone see this in the theater?

They showed it three weeks ago in Austin at the Alamo Drafthouse www.drafthouse.com and the crowd went totally bonkers over it, so now there is a theater in Seattle that will borrow their film print and spread the love.
I actually own a 16mm print of this film and had a backyard screening of it last night just to primp and get ready for Revenge o Sith.

I saw it here in Germany back in 1979. I was 12 and loved the movie. Watched the movie on DVD a few days ago and... it is terrible :-)

So did I!!! I was 5 and living in Sembach at the time. I thought it was awesome. I especially loved it when the missiles broke through the windows and the Italian guys filed out of them.

Then when I was 18 I managed to get a hold of a copy of this little gem. Hoo boy! It's easily one of the worst movies ever made.

Oh, wow. No wonder Hasselhof Is popular in Germany. I think I would’ve loved seeing this movie too had it been shown in Russia. I think it’s a perfect kid’s movie, more even for teenage boys. Too bad I never seen it when I was growing up. Just caught it now on Amazon Prime. It’s pretty fun movie actually, not boring, imaginative despite the poor sp.effects.

I saw it at a rep house a few months after it came and went (in early 1982) after it was runner-up in some award show on TV a couple of months earlier. I think that "Battle Beyond the Stars" won.

I saw it in theaters when I was seven years old. Oddly enough, the ONLY memory I actually have of it is the huge tin foil star that was sitting in the movie theater's lobby! Visiting a website with pictures of this gem, the only thing that struck a memory was two silly looking stop motion robot thingys that I recall thinking were kind of cool back then! The rest of the experience, I must have blocked completely from my mind.

I aw this in theaters here in Guatemala, Central America. It was called "Ataque estelar del tercer tipo" (Star attack of the third kind) ¡!... Back then I was 9 years old and thought it was the best thing next to Star Wars.. well.. there was not a lot of movies back then in Guatemala.
I really want to watched again because some people mention the hand shape spaceship.. boy... I sweard I dreamt about that scene.. always thought that a fever attack produce me that kind of visions..
Oh well... Now I have a question.. In this movie appears a villain dress in black with blue light glow in his hands.. I mean gloves?... I'm not sure if really saw this in a movie or was another fever attack..

Greetings from Guatemala....

Yeah... I saw that movie too in theaters, but for some reason I forgot... Now I ignore the plot or anything about it.. bur I remember the chinese boy...
¿Where can I find the movie? I live in Guatemala, Central America and it´s very hard to find cult movies in my country like star crash or The Humanoid...
Sorry for my bad english

reply

a legal bootleg dvd of the humanoid is available from www.revok.com. also, dvd and old video copies of Humanoid and Starcrash are always for sale at ebay. both are classic cult films, and great to watch with a few beers.
hope this helps !
