The wonderful music in this film

I don't know about anyone else, but apart from this being one of the best slices of early 80's life on film, this gem has the best score ever and it was never released. I saw the film in 1979 and since then have looked for a soundtrack album. Does it even exist? If it does, it has the best music written for characters in a movie that I have ever heard! When you watch this movie, pay close attention to the music track. Throughout the film we are treated to a composer who not only reacts when someone is trying to be very quiet, but can provide rock music that reflects the time and doesnt come off sounding like an old guys version of what the 'kids' are listening to. There is even a quasi-Joni Mitchell vocalist who does some nice work. The end title is superb for a 'Franny' and 'Jamie' happy ending, and it's about two birds who are at a crossroads when one wants to fly away and leave the other. Great Stuff!!

Showtime plays this film in widescreen and it cannot be found on DVD as of yet.
