What was your funniest scene?

I watched this film for the first time yesterday because my Scottish girlfriend made me, Lady Macbeth Stylee! sic (sic)

The whole undertone of how religion is particularly needless for all apart from the pathetically needy is quite quaint. But a particular scene made me chortle was that in the ampitheatre.

First there was the whole hatred between the PFJ and the JPF which had me pissing my pants. Largely because I'm a very disilussioned lefty thanks to groups like this. But during that very scene, there was the 'fight' between the Gladiator and the Slave which had me laughing for ages.

So what was your funniest scene?

(Brownie points for the smart arse who figures out why my initial sentance is so funny)

I don't think it's that funny, but since no one else has really made an attempt at answering why your initial sentence is so funny: It's allegedly funny because your girlfriend, who made you watch LoB, has the alias of Lady MacBeth, who made her husband do all sorts of things (ultimately, of course, leading to his downfall).

I love when Pontius keeps getting suggestions from the mob with R names that don't exist, then Centurion tells him a bunch of names of people they DO have, and they all start with S... only for Biggus to take over and start reading names with his lisp.

I love it when the PFJ all hide when Judith and Brian turn up. One just stands behind a plank of wood, one puts a sheet over himself, and one sticks his head in a basket on the floor.

For me the market scene where Brian "Won't Haggle"...A Classic play on markets, and so many other films that point to our frustrations about HOW to buy something in markets abroad without being ripped off yet wanting to pay a fair price.

5 Wont haggle

and many more

There were a lot of highly hilarious scenes, but the only scene that had me laughing out loud and leaking out of my eyes was the Biggus Dickus scene.

You might find these conclusions - that arose from the crucifixion scene - interesting.

the, "What good has the romans done for us,' scene is quite good me thinks.

"You haven't given us enough time to hide."

And the stammering guard played by Eric Idle, and in his last scene when he revealed he could speak PROPERLY WITHOUT STAMMERING all the while.
