What do you think happened to the staff?
So the warden was expected to be on the first flight to Washington. It may sound naive, but why? Do you think the warden and guards were reprimanded for the escape? If so how?
shareI believe that was Hollywood making it sound like the escape was the reason the prison closed. The decision to close the prison was made long before the three disappeared because it was too expensive to operate. They just happened to escape while it was all being sorted out.
shareI always thought that was the impression the movie gives--that the escape was such an.embarrassment to the facility that the California Department of Corrections had no choice but to close it down, but that always seemed an.oversimplification.
