Anyone connect the similarities of the symbols of the sacred scar of Ateri and the box truck at the end of the film?

The symbols look super similar. In the beginning of the film, the native they captured to lead them to the village was the shaman's son who was scared with the sacred scar of Ateri(whatever that means) but at the end of the fill, the anthropologist asks I wonder who the real cannibals are and a box truck is shown driving with a symbol that is very similar. Does this have any significant meaning?
