Painful.

I realize that MacLean did not write high literature, but few could (arguably, perhaps) beat him for a cracking good adventure, and his stories were practically screenplays in prose form. There's no excuse this kind of adulteration and hashing. Sutherland was the worst I've ever seen him here; he didn't seem to know what to do with himself. And the did they blow so much of the vehicle budget on the big orange snow boats that they couldn't afford a couple of actual snowmobiles instead of those ridiculous crotch-rockets? I could go on and on. Very disappointing.
