No kids?

They references this several times in interviews. They often got tons of fans who complained when they didn't take the dog on their trips. How would fans react if they left the kid at home? Also they wouldn't have been able to do many of the things they were able to do (travel, spur of the moment trips, or look for murderers) if they had had a kid.

They did mention that one of the first episodes for the 6th season (unfortunately got canceled) was to be a storyline where Jennifer is pregnant, enjoying lunch with friends, leaves the restaurant, and in a case of mistaken identity, is run down by someone who meant to take out her friend, and she loses the baby. Not sure how that would have gone over. I think it would have changed the whole dynamic of the show.

Kids would be loose end. I remember reading why so many shows had widower fathers in early days, Rifleman, Andy Griffith, Family Affair etc... the child was a big part of show and 2 parents would ruin the interaction. Adding kid would be same with H2H.

I'm also someone who would have loved for them to have a kid, BUT ... that is NOT what H2H is about. If they had a grown up kid, maybe. But they are sleuthy people who are in the midst of one murder after another, and are jetting everywhere. This is simply now what this show is.

There is no reason they should have kids, if they're not interested.
