Does Anyone Else Love This Movie Like I Do?

This has got to be one of my Top 10 guilty pleasures. I wanted to post a message to anyone who loves this movie like I (and my sister for that matter)do. I have to say that it's a must see for any Beatles fan and you can't help but get caught up in the action. The movie is so high energy! You almost feel like you're there with these kids. :D

I like this film. It is scheduled to show tonight on UniversalHD in HDTV. I have it set to record to HD video tape and plan to see if my teenage children have an interest in watching it. It is a fun look back at a time I remember well. Anything that attempts to capture the hysteria of an early Beatles visit is so nostalgic for me.

If your teenage children are anything like my sister and I, your kids will like it. (Okay, I'm not a teenager anymore, but my sister still is.) I caught this on TV awhile ago and thought it was great. I've watched it at least once more since then. It's a great look at all the Beatlemania of the time from a fan's point of view. My mom would have been about the age of the main girls so I can just picture her wanting to go to the show. I guess living in Canada was a bit of an obstacle but at least she got to see it on TV.

I fell in love with this film when I saw it on ABC 25 years ago. If you like it, I also recommend 1941 and "Used Cars". Those films, like "I Wanna Hold You Hand", were written by Bob Zemeckis (now the director of "Forrest Gump", "The Polar Express", etc.) and Bob Gale. "1941", a notorious financial flop, was directed by Steven Spielberg. I warn you, though, that while "I Wanna..." is pretty clean-cut, "1941" is a bit raunchy and "Used Cars" is rated R.

Well I do have it on VHS that alone speaks for itself. I absolutely love this movie. The fast pace kinda reminds me of a Monkees romp or Hard Days Night.

OMG! I just saw this movie! It is so good and hilarious! My older sister borrowed it, I wasn't expecting much...but this movie is terrific! I actually was jealous for that fake audience pretending to be screaming at the beatles, it just seemed real! Now I'm more interested in the beatles then ever!!

It's a great flick. :)

Yes! Every time I watch it, I wish so much that I had been older during that time (I turned 6 years old in 1964. :-) What a great time in music... a great time for American (and worldwide) teenagers (and adults! Heck... Everyone! ;-)

A fun movie. When I was a kid (inthe late 80s) I loved the Beatles and my Dad taped this for me. The print that my local station had was terrible (it even jumped, on TV!) But I still loved it. It wasn't until years later that I finally saw a decent print on television though!

I'm 23 and have been a huge Beatles fan my whole life. After "A Hard Day's Night", I'd say this is the best film out there with or about the Beatles! It seriously whips me into near hysteria by the end of the film where everyone ends up at the Ed Sullivan show...I'm so so so jealous of anyone who was around back then and able to go crazy over them while the Beatles were still new and fresh *sigh*. This movie really couldn't be more fun.

This movie is a real pleasure to watch. I was a teenager in the 60's so I can relate to this. I was 12 when I first saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show and I was captivated like all the rest. I was fortunate enough to be able to see them in 1966 at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. That day was so memorable for me being a die-hard Beatles fan. Watching this movie just brought back all the hysteria of that time. Those were great times to be sure.

Love this movie! I put it in my top ten. I especially enjoyed the director's commentary on the DVD. It sounded like the movie was a lot of fun to make, too.

I adore this movie!!! I've always loved The Beatles, so it was fun to get caught up in the excitement of the movie. I think Wendi Jo Sperber and Eddie Deezen's performances were hilarious!! Their interactions are classic!

I absolutely love this movie! I would have been one of those fans caught up in Beatlemania, had I been old enough (I was 2 in 1964)!! I especially love the Rosie and "Ringo" scenes.
