Disappointing Blu Ray (Rockin' Rydell edition)

I got out the Rockin' Rydell edition from 2009. I was very disappointed how dismal it looked on both my Bluray and the HD digital copy that accompanied it. Bright colors are used throughout Grease and should pop when viewed in high definition unless it hasn't been remastered well. Every scene in this edition looked darker in terms of lighting than I have seen on previous home video versions. I saw this same film on cable recently and it looked immeasurably more colorful and vibrant on TV. The transfer looks clean with no visible specks or scratches, but the colors look faded and the lighting darker than on previous editions. I would be curious if anyone else has observed this on the Rockin' Rydell edition and if anyone can point me in the direction of a better transfer (Region 1 only) it would be appreciated.
