The ending *SPOILERS*

Why does Mimi's son kill him? Is it because Mimi's father considered Mimi too dangerous after all that killing he did in L.A.? If so why did he have Mimi's son do it, when the grandfather was trying to raise his grandson to be pure and go to school. And not to go around murdering people. Also how does the ending fit with "Gone with The Pope"? Isn't Mimi one of the guys who kidnaps the pope? It certainly looks like it from the trailer.

Anyways, I liked the movie and was happy I finally got to see it, just wanted that cleared up.

The trivia is wrong. Gone with the pope isn't a sequel. Someone probably made the mistake after hearing the commercial say its Mitchell's follow up.

Ah. So why was Mimi shot then?

I think his father wanted to maintain good contacts with American crime organizations and getting rid of Mimi would clear up all the bad blood.

Just finished watching and was wondering the same thing. If Mimi's father planned the murder why does the movie end with him looking over at the son with a look of surprise on his face? Or was that just bad acting?

reply

Maybe it's how Mimi handled himself in America. He kidnapped his fathers #2 man, cut off his finger, extorted a quarter mil out of him, killed his son, and blew up his family. Seems like Mimi could have just approached this guy for a job rather than chopping off his finger.

The whole movie is ridiculous, no point in wondering why anything happened. I did enjoy it immensely.

Mimi Micelli was killed at the end because he was too much of a loose cannon and hence was a danger to anyone and everyone around him.

I've been chasing grace/ But grace ain't easy to find
