I think if you remade the movie [using computer effects] it would destroy everything that made Wizards what is/was today/

I agree, the whole charm of this film is how dated it is and the animation techniques employed under budgetary constraints. The storyline is your typical sword-and-sorcery good-versus-evil concoction with a twist: it's in the future, and the evil wizard finds Nazi propaganda footage, which is an awesome idea. Most of the film's power comes from the style(s) of animation, the writing, and the overall way it was executed.

Most people either didn't see this or didn't like this the first time around. Due to its composition, this couldn't be redone with CGI. Anyways this is like a painting from an artists portfolio, you don't redo those.
