"Jive Talkin'" was on the soundtrack, but not in the movie.
I do like Tavaras' version of MTAW better than Bee Gees. The latter's was too syrupy.
Actually, Jive Talkin was not on the soundtrack originally. I had an LP of this I got from about 1979
The Calypso Breakdown song remains a mystery; I believe it was either in a cut scene or just removed altogether.
And "Emotion" needs to be on the soundtrack; it was the original ending song

I like the Tavares version but definitely - and exponentially - prefer the Bee Gees version.
My personal favorite song, though, is The Trammps' Disco Inferno. I was too young to have seen SNF in the theater but remember hearing DI in something else - another movie, a TV show - and loving it before even knowing what disco was. share

Calypso Breakdown by Ralph McDonald! Nah, just kidding! I listened carefully and could never find it anywhere in the movie.
