Mouse Society.

I want to know the ins and outs of the mouse society. They have an advanced civilization established right under our noses, complete with furniture, clothes, buildings, and even air travel. I want to know who makes these things, how their economy works, et cetera.

Furthermore, does this take place in the same universe as Great Mouse Detective? There are a lot of similarities.

On your first paragraph, you're seeking more information than you're going to find genuine answers for. Those answers are limited by how much Margery Sharp chose to reveal in her novels.

The Great Mouse Detective takes place in the human world, just as The Rescuers does. The only difference is that the 1986 film takes place in a somewhat specific location, being London, whereas The Rescuers takes place partly in a real setting, New York City, and partly in a fictional one, Devil's Bayou, and whatever island that happens to be located in. It's different if you consider the novels; I'm not familiar with Eve Titus' works, but Margery Sharp's did make references to real places, such as Norway.

I was so upset that I could not join as a little kid....my mom told me it was just for mice. And there was no way I could turn into a mouse! That was so traumatizing to have my childhood aspirations dashed like that.
