Dig those creepy, pseudo-samurai Nagas
The funky, creepy, pseudo-samurai Naga warriors remind me of the genetically deformed humans from the '80s horror flick, "The People Under the Stairs". Or that's what happens when people breed with close relatives. I actually dug the outstanding prosthetic special effects deformed human faces makeup of the unmasked Nagas that were beaten unconscious in the Nagas' dungeon by Ben, Tyler, and the scientist. It helped to explain why the Nagas always wore their samurai-like battle masks, to conceal their facial genetic deformities.
As the Nagas pursue Ben McBride, Bowen Tyler, Dr. Norfolk, Ajor, and Charly, outside, Charly hands Bowen Tyler a .380 semiautomatic pistol she kept hidden in her camera case and had never told anyone about it. She hands an extra magazine clip to Bowen. I'm only guessing about the .380 caliber of the pistol but judging by the compact size of the pistol, it's most likely. Bowen Tyler has terrific aim. He never misses a shot. Each of his .380 bullets has the stopping power of a .357 magnum. No Naga ever gets up after being hit by one .380 bullet. Even though he has only two clips of bullets, he seems to shoot a lot more.
I watched my dvd again, and am thinking, could the pistol have been one of those mini M1911 models? But those didn't exist until the late 20th century.
