My biggest complaint with movie musicals is when they cast people who are not singers/can't sing. Since the intent is for it to be a "musical", you would think they would generally want to maintain the integrity and beauty of the score with people whose voices can capture the accurate emotions and feel intended for the songs. Sadly, this is often not the case, and we get extreme auto-tuning.
