shareThe actual answer is yes and no. Yes, we do see the little girl shocked to death, that's what Proteus shows... So, Black_Dahlia was entirely correct, even to the fact that the sequence was revealed to have been "generated" by the computer. But no, the kid wasn't actually killed.
Nifty early science fiction example of sophisticated image manipulation in that Proteus generated a fake electrocution in what appeared to be real-time closed circuit TV.
