I just finished watching this, and was a little floored by the final scene. Not that it was shocking, but I can't figure out who survived the final shark buffet. I definitely recognized the lady with the dog being pulled out of the water, but what about that little girl? Did I see one of the sharks swimming away with her braids sticking out of its mouth? The way the film is cut is so frantic that it's hard to figure out.

If I remember correctly the little girl made it although it was a close call.
Most of the shark victims seemed to be two leading men as I know Lionel Stander did not make it and I'm pretty sure Aurthur Kennedy got eaten too. The rest seemed to be men and women who were only extras.
I just watched this movie tonight, and here's the list of the people who made it:
Tiersa (the little blond girl with the braids)
Sheila (the blond woman who owned Christmas, the dog)
The boy whose name we never learned
The boy's father
Andres, the owner of the glass-bottom boat
Thomas, the young first mate of the glass-bottom boat
The guy who killed the dog
Mickey the hothead
Mickey's girlfriend / wife, whose name we also never learn
Linda (or Lisa) the flight attendant
The bearded co-pilot of the plane that crashed
And somehow they all fit into that little sea plane, lol.
In the other little boat, the people rescued were:
Pichura, the captain of the fishing boat
Bally, his first mate
Monica the no-longer-pregnant lady
Monica's baby
Monica's husband Daniel
More important than any of the other survivors is the man called Hugo Stiglitz!! It all happened fast at the end, and it’s hard to tell who makes it out of the shark buffet, but we must know if he lived.
Another poster said “The bearded co-pilot of the plane that crashed” survived so that might be him.
