This First Evil Car Movie Is Actually Pretty Good

There was a predecessor as far as 'evil vehicle' movies, and that was 'Killdozer' (1974). 'Killdozer,' however, explained the machine's murderous impulses as the dozer's being under the control of hostile aliens.

'Christine' is one of my favorite movies, also one of my favorite books. THAT don't happen, very often. But the book spent a lot of time explaining how things came to happen, and even the movie did a token nod to the cause and effect.

But 'The Car' never explained anything. It was just an evil, murderous, indestructible car. I think the best part about this movie is that it never tried to explain anything. It Came, It Killed, It Got Buried.' I think horror/monster flicks are best if they don't go around explaining things, all the time. Things tend to get less scary if you understand what caused them, I think.

I like it with less explanations, too. It should've got a higher rating. Gave it a 7. The good part was the build-up of the car. In the beginning, they were looking for a crazy driver. If the movie became a big hit, then they could explain things in a prequel.
