Liz Taylor line

There's a scene early in the film where Liz is worry about daughter Linda Blair.
She said something along the lines of:
"Please let her wear a rose"

At the time my wife and I looked at one another "what is she talking about?"
Never understood that line.

anyone?

hahahaha! I know your post is ten years old but ... I'm watching the scene, which as far as I could tell is Taylor's only scene in the movie (so never meets her daughter Hanna/Linda Blair on screen). But I digress.. I'm watching the scene and her last line is 'Hanna, Hanna, please take off the red ribbon.' And I'm thinking wtf? are they kabbalah Jews? Does Linda Blair have a red ribbon around her wrist? Why on earth would Taylor's character gaze longingly into the ether and softly speak something like that? Jews who follow Kabballah wear red ribbons on their wrists so that's the only thing I can think of. Anyway, I cracked up because even though she didn't say anything about a rose I knew that's what you were talking about. Cheers!
