anybody here from Texarkana?

is there anybody here from Texarkana and by any chance know the real story? because I always though this was very interesting. I'm not from Texarkana, thats why I don't know the real story behind it. I'm sure at Libraies in Texarkana they've got some info about the real story.

I'm from Texarkana. I've lived here my entire life. I'm still here.
I did research on this story and movie. The movie is heavily fabricated. From old newspapers I've read that the victim's families were sueing the production of this movie. It was highly offensive and with very little factual information.

The victims were all killed by shots from a handgun. I've even read that the murderer wore a wooden mask rather than a pillow case or burlap sack. The killings in the movie happened on the Arkansas side, but, in fact, the actual killings were done on the Texas side of Texarkana.

Sadly much like most of Texarkana's history alot of this information is buried.

I agree the movie is heavily fabricated from the Trombone murder to the chase scene at the end. The factual events potrayed in the movie are very twisted. Actually in the trombone murder it did happen in Spring Lake Park in the movie and in real life so it occured in Texas. The other attacks occured along what is now Robison Rd.

I have begun some new research on this case and have uncovered alot of new details I have never come across before and it sheds new light on the entire case. I am beginning to doubt the attacks were random and there was more than one assailant.

I am from Texarkana, Arkansas. The movie does not completely cover the story, but is accurate enough to be based on the story. The real murders took place in our spring lake park. The killer terrorized 2 people in their car. The killer told the gitl to remove her clothing or he would shoot her. She escaped, but I'm not sure about the guy. There were also some shootings, stranglings, and trumpet(knife attached)stabbings.

There was never any trumpet involved in ANY of the murders. That was added to the movie for dramatic effect. Booker played the saxophone, and she dropped it while running from the killer. It was found a day or two later by a couple of guys who were building a fence.
The same goes for the scene where the killer chases the woman across a field and through a house. The actual murderer just fired a couple of shots through a window from outside the house and then left. The movie just drags everything out to make it more horrific.

No, I want to know, okay? I came down here for the cilantro crawfish gumbo. Which is the only excuse anyone could have for even being in this board, which is, by the way, almost a real bee hive of activity.

Can't, I'm afraid. Matinee of Le Miz. Christ, I'll call you.
