Deleted TV scene - go the distance

Anyone ever notice on some TV broadcasts, that they chose to delete the scene when Rocky comes back from the Spectrum and tells Adrian that he just wants to go the distance? IMO, that's a pretty important scene and it's ridiculous to remove it.

I saw one screening where it began with the scene of Rocky walking in the street after the Spider Rico fight. I think seeing the Rico fight is important because it shows the type of fighter Rocky is.

Annoying the world since 1960!

They also delete the scene walking Marie home. They all add to his character development, but if you have to cut something, that's not so bad. But yeah, need to see him in that opening fight for comparison of what he's up against.

And the "just go the distance" scene is a significant plot point, especially since he loses the fight...but goes the distance.

The go the distance scene is the most important in the movie. It litterly shows why Rocky did not care about the judges at the end or why he did not care for a rematch in Rocky 2. He accomplished his goal and just wanted to prove Apollo could not knock him out. Whoever is editing the TV versions needs to be fired.

The callback to that ethos in Rocky Balboa is fantastic. Amazing way to say goodbye to the series...
