baby (spoiler)

For an infant that has breathed its last, that child is remarkably animated, and seems quite happy too. Someone's eye not quite on the ball...

I was pretty dumbfounded too, to see such an error make it into the final print! Supposedly, the baby was not breathing? While squirming around like a fish out of water? And I have to say I liked the film overall; sumptuously designed and filmed, interesting story and very good performances. I never thought Jennifer O'Neill was much of an actress, but even though her voice is dubbed, she was the character of Teresa in all respects and did a fine job.

I saw that too, the legs and the arms, they were all moving...

To all those who didn't understand it, what happens is that due to the cold the baby has difficulty breathing, which is why they say he can't breathe. His condition slowly deteriorates, but he is still alive when his grandmother is hugging him. Only a couple of scenes later is it announced that he actually died.

Hard to tell a baby to hold still. I guess they could have used a doll. Or maybe just chloroformed the little tyke, eh?
