What's up with the "Complete Series" artwork?

It's all '60s psychelia-ish. LAVERNE & SHIRLEY was principally placed in the '50s,-maybe early '60s.

Last 3 seasons are '65-'67.

I honestly hadn't realized the show had included the years up until '67 (the "Summer of Love," of course!). I was personally one of those who lost interest after the move to California and the departure of Shirley.

Nevertheless, I do believe the series is still remembered more as a "'50s show," right along with a lot of other '50s nostalgia of the time. I'm thinking maybe the bulk of the artwork could've represented more of a '50s flavor, with a proportionate amount including the '60s.

I'm not knocking the "California" episodes, since I'm not familiar with them. However, I'm thinking Laverne and Shirley, the characters, are primarily remembered for living in the basement and working as bottle-cappers at a brewery in Millwaukee-during the latter '50s.

Asides from Lenny & Squiggy I never really picked up on the 50's or 60's setting in this show. It seemed more like the later seasons of Happy Days where everything seemed modern day being the 70's for this show.
