oddity about the series

So many times they don't show us the big event, but just the little side talk before and after, and assume we know what it is that happened, sometimes without even telling us. It's okay for me, but I imagine it probably puts a lot of people off.

Examples of things we don't really see:
-most of the trial of the British soldiers
-the debate over the Declaration of Independence
-the first two elections
etc.

I guess PBS didn't really have the budget to do it back then.
