I'm the only one that has taken this into account. Okay, it's 2018 from a 1975 point of view. But Houston? Houston, Texas will look like a German city then? And the cocktail party? Where was this? I know it was filmed in Europe, but is this supposed to be the east Texas countryside? Wrong species of pine trees!
shareThere was mention of the corporate wars, so there's some notion that there was conflict, possibly armed and destructive, and Houston could have been rebuilt -- even partially -- with modernist buildings.
What didn't make sense was the final game with New York where they showed the present day NYC skyline without any ultramodern buildings.
As for the trees, well, who would know? It was a pretty manicured estate, maybe they were custom planted and not wild trees.
