Dream Remake Cast

Riff Raff - Neil Patrick Harris
Magenta - Emma Roberts
Columbia - Lady Gaga
Eddie - Jack Black
Rocky - Jamie Bell
Dr. Scott - Eddie Izzard
Criminologist - Terence Stamp

Unfortunately, I have to say, this is not a very hard movie to re-cast(As in, the characters may have their ups & downs, but, they are pretty straight forward.), but, I do have to say, that unless you can find another, like Tim Curry(The reason I brought his name up, is because, he is VERY unique, in his own way, since nobody can truly be like him.), or even Meatloaf(He also has his own unique ways, as well.), let alone several others from the movie, too many will look at it, as if it were hacked & sacked, which, in my own opinion, would just be a total destruction of the original, and yes, Jack Black is somewhat similar to Meatloaf, but, what he does not have, that Meatloaf does, is, he knows his place, Meatloaf knows when and how to portray his comedic side, and his dramatic side, and etc, so, where Jack Black is more of a comedic guy, where he, along with so many others on your list, would try to make it, so they are the center of attention, where, the old cast, did not try to play that game, like they do, now-a-days, so, unless they put some sort of restriction on a lot, and I mean A LOT of the so-called actors/actresses, then for now, it would just be defiled, with so much corruption, it would be pathetic, and bomb! Like I said, it is just my own opinion though.....

Not that it's ever gonna happen, but Chris Colfer would be a great Riff Raff.

I usually loath remakes. These conversations are fun only as a goof.

Frank - Paul Stanley - very flamboyant onstage persona
Janet - Jennifer Love Hewitt - acts, sings and great body
Brad - Anthony Michael Hall - good at playing nerds
Riff - David Patrick Kelly - a creepy character actor who sings
Magenta - Rae Dawn Chong - has the right hair
Columbia - Molly Ringwald - an actress who sings
Dr. Scott - Rutger Hauer - serious actor with Germanic sounding accent
Rocky - Sylvester Stallone - doesn't say much and played the other Rocky
Eddie - Evan Seinfeld - sings, acts and looks like an outlaw biker
Criminologist - Michael Douglas - has the chin for it

I am an old fart and know music better than movies. This would be a great geriatric cast or would have rocked back in the '80s.

The problem I always have with "Potential remake cast" lists is that is usually seems like the person is just making a list of what current actors remind them of the actors in the original movie.

Your dream cast is too old. Amy Adams and James Marsden would be playing a middle-aged couple. Hardly young and freshly engaged. And Helena Bonham Carter is almost 50.

Jack Black maybe.
