I avoided HUSTLE for years because it's one of the most critically drubbed Hollywood movies of all time. Imagine my surprise when I finally watched it and found it to be a neo-noir masterpiece and one of Robert Aldrich's best movies. I hate movie critics. All of 'em.

Siskel, Ebert and Corliss were good. Ebert in partulcar was more than a critic but a true student and essayist of film (as well as a screenplay writer) AND he thought very highly of Hustle.

I think it’s a pretty solid movie as well.
