New DVD

This is a call for all fans of Farewell My Lovely. I have reached out to get permission to do an updated DVD wide screen version of the film. But I need the support of the fan base to show there is a reason to do this.

So a positive responce is needed.

Count me in...how ever much you charge I'll pay!

I saw this great movie on its release in 1975. Yes, we do need a DVD-release that gives justice to this wonderful film! I have been waiting impatiently for it.
Thank you for your efforts, Mr. O'Halloran! Go for it!

I have loved this movie since seeing it in the theaters when it first came out. I would buy it in an instant if it came out on DVD. The 35th anniversary is next year... the perfect time to release it!

Thank you for your excellent performance in the film!

Sign me up, Jack. I have loved this film from the first, and your performance--I think your most masterful moment is when Charlotte Rampling first appears to you, and your tough guy look melts into "Hi, Babe." And then.... Any how, I have worn out a taped from cable copy I had and that miserable extended play format which left most of the resolution off the screen and have been waiting since for an available DVD. Whatever ya need, lets get this done.

Jack,

Count me in as a long suffering and devoted fan of this movie. It pains me that I have not seen this film since the early eighties, yet it remains one of my all time favorite films. Even more painful is the evident fact that the fan base seems to be dwindling or is, at the very least, oblivious to the efforts put forth by so few of us to get it released on DVD. If there is any one person who holds the key to getting this done, please let us know so that perhaps that person can be contacted directly. No collection of Robert Mitchum's library is complete without this film.
For whatever it's worth, your performance was absolutely breathtaking.

Best,

Benton Mason

Jack, count me in! I fell in love with this film the first time I saw it on opening night at The Baronet in Bethesda, MD. I have played my copy of the soundtrack album to death. Please let the new DVD be in widescreen format with some decent extras like the original trailer.

Jack, Any word on it now? I can't even rent this film on netflix. It's very dissapointing! Thanks for all your hard work on your films, man. I've seen you on the Superman II board fighting for the Donner cut to be released...AND IT FINALLY HAPPENED. I have no doubt that you'll achieve similar success here. Good luck!

Dear Jack-

Just watched by lousy copy of this great film. I love Mitchum and I really believe this is one of the best noirs ever made and the best Marlowe movie ever. Mitchum is exquisite as Phillip Marlowe.

As was the rest of the cast, including that new kid as Moose Malloy. It must have been a thrill to work with so many veterans. Hope they were nice to you.

Keep up the fight for this movie as a widescreen DVD. I am 54 and I want it in my library before I take my big sleep.
