HEAT MISER ROCKS !!! Anybody agree ??

I used to watch a lot of Rankin Bass Animation for Christmas when I was wee little kid . Born in 1984 ,I'm now a women of 21 , but I have continued to watch these stop-motion specials each year with my little cousins .

While Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was always my favorite Rankin Bass Christmas Character .... HEAT MISER was always my favorite besides him !!
He was funny all throughout " The Year Without A Santa Claus " and his song was the catchiest , most fun song in the whole special . His singing voice is so beautiful . His singing is even better then Snow Miser's song , and his temper makes him hystarical .

I remember a lot of his song ... not that Snow Miser's song isn't great , and Snowy is pretty cool ... but Snowy gets all the love and attention . I LOVE HEAT MISER because his the Underdog of Mother Nature and just trying to get as much love and repect as everyone else in the world , but people don't like him and only like Snow Miser becasue Heat Miser isn't as close a friend of Santa Claus ... I used to feel bad for Heat Miser .

H.M. looks so cute an cuddly and his fire hair looks so soft for some reason . Does anybody know if they make plush toys of Heat Miser the way they make stuffed Rudolphs ? I'd love to have a plushie of Heat Miser !!

I'm a HUUUUUUGE Rankin/Bass fan (age 25, born 1987), and I have a lot of favorite characters from their holiday specials and other cartoons and films. I LOVE both brothers and their rivalry, though if I have to pick a favorite, it's Snowy. And I do enjoy cold weather. ;) But you're right--Heat Miser's song is awesome, his rage (and his dancing) are very entertaining, and I looove his voice. I was SO glad they were able to get George S. Irving to reprise his role in "A Miser Brothers Christmas." It was disgusting to me that they didn't even attempt to approximate Snowy's voice, uggggghh. I also loved listening to Irving narrate the "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" book series, btw. Fantastic joj. =3

I know Snowy seemed to be the "favorite" in the film because of his association with Santa and his allegedly preferential treatment by Mother Nature and everything, but I think overall they're pretty evenly loved. I never see one without the other. I own the two of them as Christmas lawn decorations and as tree ornaments (new from Hallmark this year!!) I understand feeling bad or at least having sympathy for Heat, though. The bros deserve equal love and respect, yo. Heat certainly does look soft and cuddly. Sadly, I've never seen plushies. Figures, bobble heads, ornaments, yeah...even t-shirts. But no plushies. =[
